Obituary of William C. Sellers

LUGOFF- A funeral service for William Carroll “Bill” Sellers, 80, will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Mr. Sellers passed away Friday, June 04, 2021. Born in Chesterfield, S.C., he was a son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mary White Sellers. Mr. Sellers was in the U.S. Army and served during Vietnam and was a member of Springvale Baptist Church. He loved his family and watching westerns, snacking, and playing games on his tablet. His favorite food was peanut butter and crackers. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. He often told the most interesting life stories and kept us all on our toes. That was the man we all loved.

    Surviving are his daughter, Carol Kelly (Sean) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Necole Kelly (Jon), ShawnAshley “Hope” Kelly, Ann Marie Branham (Nathan), Dakota Powell (Chris), Rebecca Kelly; sisters, Marjorie Christopher and Linda Haniman; 7 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson. He was predeceased by siblings, Charles Sellers, Bobby Sellers, Mike Sellers and Dorothy Honeycutt.
