Obituary of Barbara Jo Littlejohn

Lexington – A celebration of life service for Barbara Jo Littlejohn, 72, will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

    Mrs. Littlejohn passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Born in Lugoff, she was a daughter of the late Rasper Jordan Gardner and Lillie Marthers Gardner. Mrs. Littlejohn was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed dancing, music, reading and spending time with family.

    Surviving are her daughter, Tammy L. Walker of Lexington; grandchildren, Kensley Hammond, Justin Littlejohn, Briana Roberts, Russell Walker; siblings, Laverne Smoke of Greenville, Yvonne Peake of Lugoff, Shirley Griffith of Lugoff, Jerry Gardner of Elgin, Johnny Gardner of Lugoff, Harvey Gardner of Elgin, Velter Gardner of Sumter, Rasper Gardner, Jr. of Lugoff, Nancy Walker of Knightdale, N.C.; and 7 great-grandchildren, Skyla, Seth, Kyle, Bethany, Michael, Aria, and Madelynn. She was predeceased by a son, William Matthew Littlejohn; a great-grandchild, Christopher Littlejohn, and siblings, Minnie Peake and Carolyn McDole.

    The family extends a special thanks to Russell and Allie Walker for their love and care throughout her final days.
