ELGIN – A celebration of life service for Kathryn Amos Holland, 89, will be held Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Lewis will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church, Missions Fund, P.O. Box 116, Elgin, S.C. 29045. Mrs. Holland, wife of the late Jack Holland, died Friday, January 10, 2014. Born in Uriah, AL, she was the daughter of the late William and Minnie Lee Mayo Amos. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. She loved Jesus Christ and her church, and enjoyed reading and studying her Bible. Surviving are her son, Eddie Etheridge (Alice) of Elgin, 3 Grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry G. Etheridge; a son, Grady Ray Etheridge; and brothers, William Amos and Leon Amos.
