Obituary of Ronald Gene Rudd

Ronald Gene Rudd, 74, of Camden, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Born in Burlington, NC, on August 26, 1946, he was the son of the late James and Lola Mae Chambers Rudd, and the husband of Ovea Brittain Rudd. Ron was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Camden. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Ron loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his children, Shawn Rudd (Jennifer), Heath Rudd (Julie), Charles Matthew Oakley (Melody), Candice Currie, Joseph Nelson, Jessica Mcleod (Josh), Laura Shoup (Tim), Matthew Nelson (Savanah), and Brittany Campbell (Nate); a brother, Larry Rudd (Ann); as well as twenty-nine grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 9:00am on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 34 Chestnut Ferry Road, Camden, SC 29020.
