Obituary of Sara L. Hendrix

CAMDEN – A funeral service for Sara Lois Hendrix, 85, will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to DeKalb Baptist Church.

    Mrs. Hendrix passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021.  Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Walter P. Jones and Lottie Ray Jones. She enjoyed floral designing.

    Surviving is her husband, Arthur Odell Hendrix; children, Jeannie Carol Branham (Danny) of Lugoff and Peanut Hendrix (Lisa) of Kershaw; grandchildren, Christina Hall (Hunter), Rhiannon Hendrix, Corey Odell Grooms (Mary Branham), Ty Hendrix, Autumn Reeves and Tyler Watkins (Patti); great-grandchildren, Christopher Grooms and McKenzie Grooms; sisters, Ola M. Williams and Martha A. Williams; and her precious dog, Tigger. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Mamie Lee Ann Hendrix; brothers, Johnny J. Jones and Chester Jones; sisters, Willie Mae Outen, Anna Marie Jones and Betty Sue Jones.
