    Mr. Martin passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Prisma Health Richland. He received his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and his Master’s of Education from the University of South Carolina. He retired from Lower Richland High School after 27 years of service as vice-principal. He enjoyed hunting, fishing on the Matanzas inlet, reading, and cooking.

    Surviving are his daughter, Taylor Martin of France; his mother, Warner Martin of Palm Coast, Fla.; mother of his daughter, Hillary Martin of Blythewood; his brother, Kevin Wheeless Martin of Bluffton, S.C.; his sisters, Meredith Martin Davis (Jim) of Palm Coast, Fla. and Mayer Warner Martin MEd.; his nephew, Jake Baker (Tracy Bacigalupo); and his nieces, Alden Baker (Mandy Kiser), Caroline Gardner and Claire Gardner. He was predeceased by his father, William James Martin Sr., and his sister, Alison Fairey Martin.
