Obituary of Ferrell D. King

CAMDEN – A private family graveside service for Ferrell Delmas King, 90, will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  The Rev. Bruce Watford will officiate.  Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the Ronald McDonald House.

    Mr. King passed away at Providence Health on Sunday, March 7, 2021.  Born in Sumter, he was the son of the late Delmas and Mary McLeod King.  He retired from DuPont and was a member of Crossway Church.  He enjoyed leather work, wood working, hunting and fishing.

    Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Ethel Jeanette Geddings King; children, Mary Terresa “Terry” Caulder (Darrell M. “Chick”) of Camden, Melody King  Fritts of Camden, Ferrell Tracy King (Debbie) of Camden and Wendy Lynn Orvin (David) of Camden; sister, Kappy Nickle (Bill); brother, Bill King (Juanita); 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.   He was predeceased by a son, Julian Anthony “Tony” King; and sister, Louise King.
