Obituary of Robert "Big Mike" Brown

CAMDEN – Visitation for Robert Michael “Big Mike” Brown, 63, will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at 40 Lakeshore Drive, Camden.  Please wear face covering.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Powers Funeral Home or MSA Hospice.

    Mr. Brown passed away at home on Thursday, February 25, 2021.  Born in Hartsville, he was the son of the late Jack Archie Brown Sr. and Annie Lou Langley Mixon (Frank).  He enjoyed working in his yard, watching westerns and caring for his dogs.

    Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Linda Jean Baker Brown; son and daughter-in-law, Robert “Lil Mike”  and Joni Brown, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Candee and Fred Utt; step-daughter, Linda McCaskill (Darryl); brothers, Ricky Brown and Mark Mixon (Connie); sister, Martha Hall (Mel); grandchildren, Chyanne Brown, Freddie Utt II, Jared Utt, Matthew McCaskill, Jonathan McCaskill, Brandon McCaskill, Freeda McCaskill, Leah McCaskill, Erin Self and Clint Justin Self Jr.; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by stepsons, William Leroy Self and Clint Justin Self; brother, Jack Brown, Jr.; and sister, Fran Boan.
