Obituary of Jessie C Drakeford

CAMDEN – A graveside service for Jessie C. Drakeford, 75, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Scott Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. 

   Mr. Drakeford passed away Monday, February 8, 2021. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Annie Mae Drakeford. Mr. Drakeford was a member of Testimonial Ministries. He enjoyed doing yardwork, especially cutting grass.

    Left to cherish his precious memories are his sons, Jesse Salmond, Levi Drakeford, Gregory Drakeford, Toby Drakeford, all of Camden; brothers, William Drakeford (Steve), Roosevelt Drakeford, Leroy Moses (Joyce), sisters, Doretha Drakeford, Louise Drakeford, Mary Hampton (Charlie), Pastor Betty Smith (Michael); 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother; a sister, Ethel Mae Stoves; brothers, Bennie Drakeford, Lewis Drakeford, Thomas Drakeford (Sam), John Henry Rutledge; and Willie James Drakeford.
