Obituary of Dennis Belue
LAKE WATEREE – Dennis Belue, 74, was ushered into the presence of our Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Born in Union County, he was the son of the late Edward and Madge Harris Belue. He retired as a Sergeant First Class from The United States Army where he was a medic. After retiring from the Army, he was a nurse for Springdale Health Care until he retired.
Mr. Belue was a member of the American Legion Post 17 and the Forty and Eight. He was patriotic and helped disabled veterans. He was a Mason and Shriner and enjoyed sailing, hunting and being outdoors.
Surviving are his wife, Debra Warren Belue; sons, William Edward Belue (Melissa) of Walhalla and Joseph Howell Belue (Stacy) of Wahalla; step-sons, Jacob Lynch and David Lynch; siblings, Wayne Belue (Marian), Larry Belue, Neil Belue (Carolyn), Rick Belue and Jimmy Belue (Robin); grandchildren, LCpl Miles Belue (USMC), Allison Belue, Colt Belue, Madison Belue, Avory Belue, Carmyn Belue and Luke Belue; and his first wife, Claudia Belue. He was predeceased by sister, Elaine Grady; and step-son, Daniel Lynch.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, Gideon International or Kentucky Sacks of Love.
