Obituary of James Graham, Jr.

CAMDEN - Funeral service for James Graham, Jr., 56, will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 12pm at Pine Grove AME Church, 41 Pine Grove Rd, Rembert, SC 29128 with burial to follow in Springhill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Then I heard a voice from Heaven say: “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on “Yes” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, their deeds will follow them.”

 

Mr. James Graham Jr, The son of James Graham Sr. and the late Artis Maxine Heriot Graham, was born in Lee County, South Carolina on December 8, 1964. He entered eternal rest on January 29, 2021 at the Kershaw County Medical Center in Camden, South Carolina. 

 

James attended the public school system in  Lee County, South Carolina and graduated from Bishopville High School, Class of 1983 and Xtra Mile Driver Training, Inc., Class of 2003 and was employed by Williams Brothers Trucking in Hazlehurst, GA.

 

James was never a stranger to anyone and made friends where ever he traveled. Before his health failed, Graham was, as he referred a “Professional Truck Driver

 

James had a passion for music.  He provided musical entertainment for over 14 years throughout the community and surrounding cities.  His favorite saying was “Put the needle on the record” and with that he became DJ Grammie. In addition, to his love for music James also was an a BIG Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

 

James was baptized at an early age and attended Spring Hill United Methodist Church and also provided music for Pine Grove AME Church every Sunday until his health failed.

 

James was known by several nick names “Junior” “HogHead” “ DJ Grammie”and “Graham”

 

James leaves to cherish his memories, His lovely wife of 20 years Barbara Jean Clyburn Graham: His children Antoine (Jannise) Wilson, Trevin Dinkins, Marcus (Shanna) Champion, Monique Clyburn, Shaquille Graham, and His baby “DJ Baby Girl” L’Teia Bracey-Graham: His grandchildren Morgan Champion, Gavin Champion, Khalil Murraye, Kinsley Adair, Briana Thompson: His siblings Peggy Graham, Anthony (Rhonda) Graham, Maxine (Dexter) Harris Sr: His in laws: Vivian (Charlie) Salmond, Willene Brewer, Joyce Clyburn, Pastor Linda (David) Blair, His Aunties and Uncles: Eliza Davis, Bertha Corbett, John T (Janie) Heriot, Robert Heriot, Hettie (James) Brisbon, Lucille Brisbon, Raymond (Sallie) Barnes, Hermon (Mae Frances) Bennett, Thomas (Linder) Graham, John (Earline) Graham, Patrica Graham Holiday, Rosa Graham Holiday,  Steve (Dorothy) Graham, William (Frances) Graham, Eliza (Henry) Bracey, Earlene Strowder, Magnolia McCoy, O’Claudia Johnson, Mildred Johnson, Willie Hobes and Magnolia Graham.

 

Long time friends, Jessie “Love” Blanding, Dwayne “DJ Prince Ice” Gore, Kelsey “DJ Groove” Odom, Eric (Lisa) Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
