Obituary of James Leroy Jones, Jr.

CAMDEN – A funeral service for James Leroy Jones, Jr., 54, will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

   Mr. Jones passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021. Born in Camden, he was a son of Rosa Lee Jones and the late James Leroy Jones, Sr. Mr. Jones enjoyed many different hobbies such as fishing, mechanic work, and being a comedian.  

Surviving are his children, Jessica Jones, Melissa Jones, Charann Hammond; mother, Rosa Lee Jones; companion, Judy Taylor; and siblings, Floyd Drakeford (Nadine), Norman Drakeford, Barbara Pressley (Kenneth), Grover Drakeford (Willene), Carol Dean Todaro (Anthony), Maree Haggins, Josephine Haggins and Devale Haggins.  

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his sister Loretta Long (Henry).
