Obituary of Rose Marie Cotton

CAMDEN – Graveside service for Rose Marie Cotton, 57, will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Broom Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  Friends may view on Wednesday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.

     Miss Cotton passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021.  Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Bogan and Mary Ethel Washington Cotton.  She enjoyed reading, music, singing and most of all spending time with family.

    Surviving are her children, Nina Marie Cotton, Paroceana Cotton and Princeton Miller; siblings, Ruby Salmond, Betty Cotton, Ralph (Mae Frances) Cotton, Diane (Deacon Thomas) Williams, and Barbara (Anthony) Clarkson; grandchild, Omari Thomas; and special classmate, Meola Dow, Glenda Brown and Mary Mickle.  She was predeceased by daughter, Samantha Cotton; son, Joshua Miller; grandchildren, Arris Odell Halley; sisters, Mary Ethel Jones, Helen C. Bradford and Mattie Mae Cotton; and brothers, Frankie “Tim” Cotton, Walter Cotton and George Cotton.
