Obituary of Mary E. Scott

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Mary E. Scott, 79, will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden.  The Rev. Trent McLaughlin will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to The American Heart Association.

    Mrs. Scott, wife of the late Guy Scott, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021.  Born in Chesterfield County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Luther and Martha Faile Eubanks. She retired from the Mulberry Plantation.  She was a lifelong member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary #11079.  Mrs. Scott enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, dancing, but most of all spending time with her granddaughter.

    Surviving are her daughter, Toyna Howard (Mike) of Lugoff; granddaughter, Carmen Noel Howard; numerous nieces and nephews; and her Maltese, Scotty.   She was predeceased by her siblings, Sarah Payne, Janie Faile, Lou Pechacek, Mattie Houser, Smiley Hinson, George Eubanks, Joe Eubanks, Conley Eubanks, Henry Eubanks, and Willie Eubanks.
