Hubert was a kind and generous man. He was from the old school. He believed in hard work to achieve what you want in life. He believed in doing things the right way. I was proud to be his son-in-law and even more proud to call him my friend. He taught me a lot. We send our heartfelt condolences to all of his family and extended family. He will me missed. May God grant all of you peace and strength in the coming weeks and months.

Mr. Davis had always been a fine friend to both Bob and I and we enjoyed talking with him when he came by for short visits. I also enjoyed watching him and Juan run all those huge machines when he cleared our land for us. I use to enjoy riding my 4-wheeler around the Ponderosa because it was so peaceful. He laughed when I rode up on the 4-wheeler to ask him if I could ride around cause I am an elderly lady and he just could not see me riding a 4-wheeler and he told me to name it my senior harley davidson and I did. He always had a smile and never said a bad word against anyone and always looked for the good in everyone. He truly ill be missed. Brenda Suttles

Hubert was a nice person. I played golf with Hubert a few things and he was a very good. I never saw him get upset or say a bad word. Everyone liked him. He will be missed by all. My prayers are with the family during this difficult time. RIP big guy

The Roy Watkins family enjoyed many hours of fishing and fellowship at the ponderosa. We were proud to sell him part of our land. After Evelyn Watkins moved to a retirement community in Easley we still tried to see him when we came back to our farm. It was so reassuring to us that we could always call him to check on things for us. He was a good honest Christian man. We will miss his presence
