This is one of the hardest things that I have ever written. To say that my heart is broken would be an understatement. Arlene was a one of a kind. She was special in so many ways. I have always looked up to her, wanted to learn from her, valued her thoughts and opinions and loved her more than she could know.
When I learned that Arlene had passed all of the memories that I loved so much came flooding back to me. I cried and smiled, cried and smiled some more. No matter the situation, she could always make you laugh.
I couldn't help but think about the boating accident that my parents, sister and I were in with Arlene, Roger, Brian and Christi, back when I was a young teen. That was one of the most frightening things that I have ever been through but Arlene, even in crisis made us laugh. In fact many of us still talk about it to this day and laugh.
Arlene taught me so much through out my life. I don't know if she really knew the impact that she had on me. I admired her class, her love for God and her family, her style and her character. She was the kind of person that you just wanted to be around.
She made me feel special. I knew Arlene loved me. That was her! She had this way of making all of her family feel special and loved. She believed in us when we maybe didn't fully believe in ourselves. Somehow hearing her tell us that we could do something made us think, well if Arlene said it, maybe we can do it. She had a special kind of influence.
For all who knew her and loved her, our lives will be forever changed. Their will be a void in hearts that will only be once again filled when we reunite in heaven. Wow, did heaven gain one beautiful angel! So for now, go rest high on that mountain Arlene! I will miss you more than you could ever imagine and my love for you will be always. Your precious memories will carry with me and I will think of you often. I love you!

Roger and family, Mark and I were so sorry to hear about Arlene’s passing. Everytiime I ran into her we would always laugh about when we lived in Rosewalk and y’all would watch Trey ride that tiny dirt bike around and around the neighborhood. She always had a laugh to share. Please know that you, Christy, and Brian are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have so many memories with Arlene dating back 48 years. When we were young Roger, Arlene, Mickey and I were inseparable. I have so many stories. I didn't have any siblings so she was like a sister to me . I love the whole family and prayers to everyone.
