Ms. Jerry 'adopted' my mom and me into her family, and I cherish all the times we had together. Christmases in Camden, making sand castles on Myrtle Beach, enjoying the festivities at a few Carolina Cups and even visiting when I was in the hospital recovering from surgeries in Charlottesville or Pittsburgh. On a light note, I can still hear her saying my name, a one syllable name that in her uniquely southern drawl could easily stretch it out to 3-4 syllables! She was so proud of her home and her yard - oh, those gorgeous azaleas! What a strong woman who lived a long, full life. I feel so lucky to have had her in my life for as long as I did. You will be missed but never forgotten. Love you.
