LUGOFF – Funeral service for Idalene T. Baker, 85, will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Wayne Flowers and the Rev. Brian Ogburn will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 3-5 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mrs. Baker, wife of the late Johnnie A. Baker Sr., died Friday, December 13, 2013. Born in Sumter County, she was the daughter of the late Boykin and Alma Frietag Truesdale. She was a member of Lugoff Friendship Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Frances Ellis of Eastover and Jean Lathrop of Cassatt; son, Johnny A. Baker Jr. of Lugoff; grandchildren, Robert Jones, Ron Jones (Teresa), Terri Hughes, Joey Ellis, Vicki Gunnells, Stevie Ellis, and Bubba Baker (Joni); 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Johnny A. “Jay” Baker III; brothers, Sidney Truesdale, Albert Truesdale, Ernest Truesdale, Murray Truesdale, James Truesdale and William Truesdale; and sister, Bessie Outlaw.
