Obituary of Judy Coley Brazell

Services for Judy Coley Brazell, 74, will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Tim McIver will officiate. Due to COVID, her family requests that friends watch the livestream of the service at the Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church Facebook page.

    Mrs. Brazell passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. She was born in Chesterfield, SC on September 3, 1946, to parents Horace Coley and Sarah Tolbert Coley. Judy graduated from Dentsville High School and was employed with DHEC and the SC Retirement System. After retirement, she proceeded to fulfill her strong desire to serve the Lord. As a member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church for 50 years, she held many positions including secretary, Sunday School teacher, deacon board member, and Highway Quartet member. Judy can best be described as “A Godly Woman” Proverbs 31:10-31. She was a strong woman of value, virtue, and vision. Her tremendous love and dedication to church, family and friends will be deeply missed. Mrs. Brazell was a beloved wife, wonderful mother, cherished grandmother and precious friend. Our angel on Earth has gone Home to be an angel in Heaven.

    Surviving is her husband of 57 years, Woodrow Avery Brazell; son, Travis Brazell (Jeannie); grandson, Ryan Brazell; siblings, Roy Coley, Bonnie Hoover (Ronnie), Joe Coley (Sandy), and Irene Coley; sisters-in-law, Mary "Bootsie" Coley and Nancy Coley. She was preceded in death by her parents, and older brothers, Jack Coley and David Coley.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
