LUGOFF- A graveside service for George William “Bill” Catoe, 68, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International or Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Mr. Catoe passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Thomas Marvin Catoe and Mary Catoe Bowers. Mr. Catoe was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Bill was a man that loved God, his wife, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, parents, siblings, and all of his family. He did any and everything he could for every one of them. He was a man that loved his country and served honorably in the U.S. Army. Bill was a man that was full of God’s love and shared that love with everyone that he could. He enjoyed golfing with his friends, Carl Reynolds, Jackie Moak, Steve Gold, and Wayne Branham. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Jill Baker Catoe; children, Tanya Ross (Jesse) of Kershaw, Rebecca Rosado (Johnny) of Lugoff, Will Catoe (Jennifer) of Lugoff; siblings, Allen Catoe (Janice), Loretta Kennington (Dale), Ethel Dixon, Norma Jean Mangum, John Bowers (Cher); grandchildren, Justin Ross (Megan), Candace Ross, Andrew Lee, Matthew Lee, Davis Catoe, Baker Catoe; and great-grandchildren, Nolan Ross, Lincoln Ross, and Ellie Rose Ross. He was predeceased by his father, mother, and step-father, Alby Bowers.
