Obituary of Stanley I. Blackburn

CAMDEN – Services for Stanley Irving Blackburn, 90, will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital. Mr. Blackburn passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020. Born in Woburn, MA, he was the son of the late William Irving and Rachal Neal Blackburn. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He owned Knowlton Iron Works and Nashoba Valley Structural and retired in 1990. Mr. Blackburn was a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and a Shriner. He had his pilot’s license and was a boat captain. He was a member of Quiet Birds, NAAMM and the Golden Club. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Lois Elisabeth Bridgens Blackburn; sons, Scott Blackburn of Pepperell, MA and Mark Blackburn of Nashua, NH; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother, Niles Blackburn; and sister, Gwendolyn Banwell.
