CAMDEN – A graveside service for Berta M. Tidwell Losey, 86, will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or First Baptist Church, Camden. Mrs. Losey, wife of the late Harry Losey, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Robert Odell and Alberta Shaylor Humphries. Mrs. Losey retired from Belk’s in Camden and was a member of First Baptist Church, Camden, where she sang with the Silvertones and was a member of the Sunday school class. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed bird watching. Surviving are her children, Wayne Tidwell (Gena) of Cassatt, Barbara Clyburn of Lugoff; brother, Albert Humphries; 6 grandchildren, Erica Broome (Casey), Dr. Sara Elizabeth Reid (Patrick), Brian Furniss (Lauren), Christopher Furniss (Katie), Zachary Tidwell, and Caitlin McCaskill (Matthew); and numerous great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first Husband, Grayson M. Tidwell; daughter, Cathy T. Davis; and siblings, Robert “Bo” Humphries, Jr., and Lois Triminal.
