LUGOFF – Funeral service for Furman Grier Hardin, 77, will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Lugoff Church of God with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at The Smith Residence, 831 Longtown Road, Lugoff, S.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Mr. Hardin passed away at KershawHealth on Thursday, August 27, 2020. Born in Kings Creek, S.C., he was the son of the late James Furman and Octavia Elizabeth Helms Hardin. He was a member of Lugoff Church of God and the Sons of Confederates. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are his brothers, James Arnold Hardin, Grover Hardin and Marshall Hardin; sisters, Marie Sulzer, Matrell Causey, Patsy Smith and Myra LaFoy; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine Hinson; and brothers, Ralph Hardin and Robert Ray Hardin.
