KERSHAW- Funeral services for Henry Leonard “Skip” Peterson, 68, will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Father John Zimmerman will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Mr. Peterson passed away Monday, August 3, 2020. Born in Minot, N.D., he was a son of the late Lewis M. and Marilyn Miller Peterson. Mr. Peterson was served in the U.S. Army and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. He was a die hard Raiders Fan. Surviving are his wife, Mary Dianne Evans Peterson; children, Richard C. Peterson, Lewis M. Peterson, Tierney L. Peterson; siblings, Milly Ruby, Kelly Peterson; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings, Terry Peterson, Linda Peterson, Jerry Peterson, John Peterson, Melody Ochoa and Tim Peterson.
