LUGOFF – Funeral service for Carolyn Joyce Rabon, 81, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Springvale Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mrs. Rabon, wife of the late Dallas Heyward Rabon, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013. During her last days, she was surrounded by friends, relatives and her children that loved her so much. She joined two predeceased daughters, Cathy Branham and Eva Rabon; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters. Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late John Mann “Dury” Branham and Daisey Eva Crossland Branham. Mrs. Rabon was a member of Springvale Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir, and she loved to sing! Surviving are daughter, Esther Arlene Sharpe (Clifford) of Blythewood; sons, Dallas H. Rabon II (Linda) of Lugoff and Charles D. Rabon (Cynthia) of Camden; brother, Franklin Branham of Lexington; sister, Gertrude Kelly of Irmo; son-in-law, Talley Branham; grandchildren, Keith Price (Janet) of Columbia, R. Dallas Rabon (Chastin Carrillos of Lugoff, Kelly Grigsby (Matthew) of Elgin, Josh Rabon of Camden, and Trevor Rabon of Camden; step-grandchildren, Brian Sharpe of Georgia and Alex Sharpe of Blythewood; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Camryn, Lauren and Micah Price, Maverick Grigsby and Connor Rabon; step great-grandchild, Elise Carrillos; and numerous nieces and nephews that all held a special place in her heart.
