LUGOFF – Private services for Norman Bremer, 75, will be held at a later date. Mr. Bremer passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1945 to the late Henry Bremer and Anna Haggerty Bremer, he was the youngest of three siblings. Educated at Queens College he earned degrees in chemistry and geology which propelled him into a career in the flavors and fragrance industry spanning across decades and continents. Norm enjoyed fishing and golf, and with his love of railroads and travel he became an avid model train enthusiast. Norm was a Marine Corps veteran and a true patriot. He was a member and the Sergeant-at-Arms for the K.C. Leathernecks 1146 Marine Corps League and was named Marine of the Year 2019. He was the former president of the Golden Club, volunteered with Toys for Tots, and enjoyed early morning meals and good company with both the Yankee Breakfast Club and the Marine Corp Breakfast group in Cayce. He was a loving father and husband, who went out of his way to help others. His dry sense of humor kept everyone laughing.
