Obituary of Mariz Sol Stratford

CAMDEN – Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5 Miss Mariz Sol Stratford departed her life on June 29, 2020. She was always caring for others and willing to help – with a genuine heart. On October 24, 1967, a beautiful girl was born to Fulvia Polanco Stratford. Mariz grew up in Camden, S.C. and attended the Kershaw County Public School System until the 12th grade. She was an honorary employee at Fatz of Camden. Her passion was arts, crafts, and drawing. Miss Stratford leaves to cherish her memory her precious daughter, Chelsea Marie Lee of Columbia, S.C.; precious son, Andre Samson Scriven of the home; granddaughter, Princess Omeriona Londyn Cater, who stole her heart immediately; brother, Henry A. Polanco (Maxine) of Lexington, S.C.; sisters, H. Sandra Hunter (Jovon) of Camden, S.C., Leonida Shelley of Norfolk, Va., and Larissa Raquel (Reginald) Miller; nephews, Brock Anthony Hunter (Sasha) of Camden, S.C. and Rashad O. Miller of Lugoff, S.C.; nieces, Aubrey Shelley of Norfolk, Va., Lt. Alexis O. Shelley of Honolulu, Hawaii, Diamond Brooke Hunter of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Micheala Miller of Lugoff, S.C., Socorro Polanco of Lexington, S.C., Aesha Polanco-Padgett of Lexington, S.C.; dear childhood friend, special to her heart, Paula Warren Radden (Troy); devoted adopted sisters, Cindy Sumter, Chene Graham Cauthen (Bill), Joyce Massey Schofield; adopted brother, Marion Kelley (Charlotte); loveable and sweet cousin, Nasare DelaCruz of West Palm Beach, Fl. Mariz learned about God her Lord and Savior very early in life. Mariz will live on in our hearts and loving memories until we are together again.
