Janie and family,
Marshall's passing puts a deep and profound sadness in the hearts of his church family. His death and loss are amplified by the distance this virus is causing in our ability to worship with the closeness we have been so blessed to enjoy for so many years. May God, our Father, send his Comforter to surround you, bless and keep you, in the days and weeks to come.
Janie, you know that you and Marshall are so loved by Peggy and myself and all the folks at Hermitage. I will miss his firm handshake, he loved to make me wince with that iron grip, and the ladies will miss his hugs. As we lose our church family because of age, sickness and tragedy, we have a hope through Christ Jesus; a blessed hope of reunion. May faith, hope and love keep us always close through the days ahead.
