Obituary of Bill Boling
CAMDEN – A private family service to celebrate the life of William Dewey “Bill” Boling, III, 61, will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Friends may watch the service via Facebook Live. The Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. Burial will be held in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amputee Coalition of America or Gideons International.
Mr. Boling passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. Born in Winston-Salem, N.C., he was the son of the late William Dewey Boling Jr. and Katharine Singleton Boling. He served in the United States Navy and was currently a computer Technician for Unitrends. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, repairing things, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Alison Lucas Boling; son, Will Boling (Grace) of Elgin; daughter, Abbi Boling of Camden; sisters, Michelle Brumble, Stephanie Mitchell (Jamey), Rebecca Burr (David) and Celeste Kennedy (Adam); brothers, Christopher Boling (Cathy) and Jonathan Boling; grandchildren, Weston Boling, Wade Boling and Mullins Boling; and nieces, nephews and 1 great nephew.
