ELGIN – A celebration of life Andrew William Vogel, 44, formerly of Lexington, will be held Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 Fair Street, Camden, S.C. 29020. Andrew passed Thursday, November 14, 2013. Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Stephen Harold Vogel and the late Patsy Wagoner Vogel. He enjoyed reading ancient and Medieval history, and was very artistic. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan and a fan of any team playing against the Dallas Cowboys. He loved driving his 2004 40th Anniversary Ford Mustang. Andrew was a long time employee of Nilson Van and Storage as General Manager. Surviving are his wife, Allison Beth Mix Vogel; father, Stephen H. Vogel and step-mother, Beverly Jean Vogel; children, Stacey and Chris Johnson, Edward Vogel and Brandon Vogel; brother, Sean C. Vogel; and grandchildren, Hannah Johnson and Aubrey Johnson. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Christopher Vogel.
