LUGOFF – Visitation for Claude LeRoy Belk, 78, will be held on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The funeral service and burial at Fort Jackson National Cemetery will be private due to COVID-19. Memorials may be made to KershawHealth Hospice. The family is receiving friends at the home of his daughter, Sheila B. Branham, 1065 Tookie Doo Ln, Elgin, S.C. 29045. Mr. Belk passed away at home on Friday, March 20, 2020. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Lewis LeRoy Belk and Lena Corbett Belk. He was an avid Gamecock fan. He enjoyed trains, but most of all his family. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Patricia Jay Belk; daughter, Sheila Branham (Caliph) of Elgin; son, Jon Belk (Wendi) of Union, Ky.; sisters, Shirley Hanley, Barbara Johnson (Jim) and Jeri Lynn Vezmar (John); brother, Jimmy Belk; grandchildren, Taylor Stevens (Justin), Caliph J. Branham-Smith (Zach), Janna Cunningham (Ben), Jon Belk Jr. (Sarah Shepard); Emma Belk and Jackson Belk; one great-grandchild, Felix Cunningham; nieces and nephews.
