CAMDEN – Funeral service for James Lyn Miller, 71, will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to KershawHealth Hospice. Mr. Miller passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Born in Raleigh, N.C., he was the son of the late Colmore Miller, Jr. and Mamie R. White Miller. He retired from the United States Air Force and the Kershaw County Sheriff Department. He enjoyed animals. Surviving are his wife, Teresa Lee Newman Miller; children, Marcus Miller, Charles Dewey Threatt III (Brandi Shirey), Tony Allen Threatt, Courtney Elizabeth Miller (Brandon Marmolejo), and Cassandra Lee Pierce; sisters, Valerie Jenkins and Rosie McClain (Steve); and 8 grandchildren. He was predeceased by sister, Eulalia Welch (Darrell).
