CAMDEN – Funeral service for Phyllis Humphries Davis, 73, will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Hopkins will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020. Born in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late Ruebin Knell Humphries and Rena Goff Humphries. She recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with the love of her life, the late Michael D. Davis. Mrs. Davis was known as “Gamma” and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In her youth, she bowled and played softball. Her passion was gardening, and she was an avid Gamecock fan. Surviving are her daughters, Missy Cash (Michael) of Camden and Michelle Davis (David) of North Augusta; brother, David Edward Humphries; sister, Myra Anders (Montie); grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Cash, Ryan Dupre Leaphart and Makayla Stephanie Cash. She was predeceased by her brothers, Bobbie Eugene Goff (Martha), Ruebin Harold Humphries, and George Wayne Humphries.
