CAMDEN – A memorial service for Rae Hendrix, 67, will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church, with a reception to follow at the church. Edward Clower will officiate. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Thiel-Meyer Animal Adoption Center. Rae passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020. Born on August 15, 1952 in Hamilton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Leo Shields and Tinnie Virginia Railey Shields. She enjoyed gardening and floral designing. Surviving are her children, Linda Rae Clower (Ed) and Terry Lee Hendrix (Shauna Cobb); grandchildren, David, Daniel, Dylan, Lauren, Jolie and Kelsey; brother, Todd Leonard Shields (Sherri); best friend, Cathy Morris; and her dog, Harris. She was predeceased by her husband, James David Hendrix, Jr.; brother, Raymond Leo Shields, Jr.
