LUGOFF – Graveside service for James Franklin Simmons, Jr. 68, will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Camden. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Charleston, S.C. Mr. Simmons passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020. Born in Laurens, he was the son of the late James Franklin Simmons, Sr. and Frances Gibson Simmons. He retired from Law Enforcement after working for the City of Camden Police Department and Kershaw County Sheriff Department. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Ann Aultman Simmons; son, Michael Simmons (Laurel) of Camden; daughter, Sallie King of Lugoff; sisters, Janet Brown and Marilyn Simmons; brothers, Tony Simmons and Ray Young; and grandchildren, Hope Harris (Josh), Heather Marshall (Josh), Hannah King, Bayne Simmons, Finley Simmons. He was predeceased by a son, Jason Simmons; and son-in-law, James King.
