My thoughts and prayers for the family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
I admired you Harry Joe and how you always cared for others. You were always a friend to me. I have fond memories of visiting Manning as a child/teenager and riding in our cousin Mustang.
You have shared so much of the DuBose family history with me and I will alway have such fond memories of our time discussing history.
You will have a crown in heaven for your love of others.

To The DuBose family, I was very surprised and saddened to hear of Harry's passing as I was working with Robbie Powers at the Powers Funeral Home memorial service on 12/1/2013. Harry was such a kind, sweet, and wonderful man. I normally worked with him several times each year in renting music equipment for outside or remote events for Trinity Baptist Church. This has been a busy year for me personally and we have not done as many things as usual so I realized I have not seen Harry since October 2012. Harry will be greatly missed by me and so many our community. May God continually bring you peace and comfort during this time as my thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

What a lovely man Harry was. I will miss my music lessons and the Lugoff Christmas Parade which all of us students worked so hard to honor Harry's hard work in putting it all together. At my lessons I'd ask Harry to play an Eagles song to get my lesson musically hopping. He played and sang like a Rock & Roll Wonder. Scott and I will miss his friendship so much. I'm going to miss his talent for giving lessons to all those, young and old, and the rekindled love of music I learned to love again. Love you Harry. Our saddest sorrows to the Dubose family.

I am so sorry to hear about Harry's passing. He taught my son Dustin how to play the guitar.Dustin loved to go to his lessons because he thought Harry was so nice. We often talked about how nice he was and how much fun it was to take lessons from him. He always had a way about him that expressed he truly cared about his students. He gave Dustin chances to play outside of lessons which helped him to become a better guitar player. He has touch so many lives in our community. He will be truly missed. He will remain in our hearts forever.

The news of Harry Joe's passing has brought back so many great memories from church, riding together to college and hours talking. The day his cousin Jason was buried Harry Joe and I walked around Oak Grove Cemetery looking at graves and talking about old times.
Harry Joe was always so soft spoken with a quick smile and a twinkle in his eyes. I loved to hear Harry Joe and Carlisle sing together. Their harmony was only something two brothers could share. I know right now he's in heaven singing with his brother and talking to his father, Mr. Ernest, and sharing stories with my Mom and Dad.
While they're sad now, I hope your family will remember the good times, the laughter, the music and the songs.
Rest in Peace, dear friend. Until we meet again.

Got my first guitar from Harry when his shop was in Dusty Bend. I used to hang out there all the time, driving him crazy I assume. I owe Harry a debt of gratitude for his patience and his early influence on me. I am a professional musician because of Harry and folks like him who took the time to nurture me. He will be missed. My regards to his family.
Respectfully,

We are so sorry for your loss. Harry taught both my kids music lessons and they both loved him. They often would come home and talk about how nice he was or something nice he said to them. He was truly one of the kindest people I have ever known, not to mention talented. I am sure he is singing a little Mustang Sally for all the other angels.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
