Charles L. Foster, 70, died unexpectedly in his sleep on January 8, 2020 in his home in Lugoff, SC. His closest friends knew him as Chick Foster. The family is holding a private celebration of his life. Chick was born on Feb 16, 1949 in Columbia, SC to Alta Rose Booth Foster and Charles H. Foster. Chick was one of the biggest South Carolina Gamecock Fans, but his heart and joy were his 5 grandsons: Foster Parks, Griffin Pennington, Gray Pennington, Preston Pace and Philip Pace. He will be remembered by many for all of his acts of kindness and his crazy, corny jokes to make you smile. Surviving are his children, Kristi Foster, Sheron Pace (Jonathan Pace), Amy Pennignton (John Van Pennington), Chad Foster(Callie Foster); siblings, Charlene Hammond, Jan Foster, Adele Foster, and Joanele Dudey. He was predeceased by siblings, Marchele Foster, Beverly Foster and Dolanne Fye.
