Enovia A. Davis peacefully entered into eternal rest on December 12, 2019. She was 93 years old. She was born in Kershaw County, South Carolina on July 31, 1926 to the late Hannah and Mose Anderson. She moved to New York at a young age and later met and married Louis Davis and from this union one daughter Lenora Davis was born. Enovia attended Washington Elementary School and New Rochelle High School in New Rochelle, New York. She moved back to Camden, South Carolina where she worked as a seamstress at Skyline Tick-Tock and Town and Country. She also worked as a housekeeper in Camden, S.C. for over twenty years and was a foster mother to many for more than 40 years. Enovia was all about family and traveled a lot. One of her favorite pastimes was going to the casino, where she enjoyed pushing the buttons and it didn’t matter whether she won or lost. She enjoyed being with people and entertaining. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her daughter, Lenora Davis-Young; son-in-law, Alton Young; relatives, Henry Lee Anderson (CA), Belinda Todd, and Bomani Todd (SC); and grandchildren, Xavier and Brison; Godson, Kenneth Jackson and Dr. Kenneth Anderson (Ann); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. We will remember Enovia with deep love and respect. We are here to celebrate her life as her legacy will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched with courage, strength, commitment and loyalty. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; one brother; four sisters; and one son, Tiamo. A funeral service will be held on December 20, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Unity United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12-1 p.m. at the church.
