Obituary of Emily Rue Bertrand Corbett

Camden- A memorial service for Emily Rue Bertrand Corbett, 86, will be held Friday at 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeff Richardson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4-5 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Corbett, wife of the late Myron Corbett, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019. Born in Bakersfield, CA, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Charles Bertrand and Malvina Lorendo Bertrand. Mrs. Corbett enjoyed quilting and arts.

    Surviving are her children, Patty Richardson (Jeff) of Charleston, Holly Bragg (Jerry) of Cassatt, Allison McPherson of Camden, James Corbett (Patricia) of Bethune; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings, Arthur Bertrand, Ernest Bertrand, Margurite Eribrane and Marie Schargun.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, at PO Box 96011, Washington DC 20090-6011.
