Shirley--I saw the obituary for Butch in this week's "Smoky Mountain Times" and it filled me with fond memories and took me straight back to our shared youth in the Smokies. Hopefully fond memories of those times will sustain you and all of Butch's loved ones in this time of sorrow.

When I think back on my childhood, some of my fondest memories are of time spent with my
“extended family,” the Williams. Butch and Shirley were like the older brother and sister, and there was never a dull moment with Vic and Connie. The Teddy Bear was our home away from home, and our trips always included hanging out at the Buck and Squaw. I probably had a hundred black bears with red collars over the years! The extended family grew to include Ellen (with her gorgeous blue eyes and beautiful smile), George, with his loving way, and then Kimberly and Chad. Having this second family was a blessing and trips to Cherokee were are still are cherished. Butch and his family are a very special part of my life. Praying for peace and comfort for all the family. Butch was a wonderful person. He was always laughing and cutting up when I ran into him.
When you talk about "good people", you are talking about Butch and Ellen. Butch will be missed by many.
