CAMDEN – Funeral service for Richard Jones Sr., 66, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with burial to follow in Cedar Cemetery. Pastor Dr. Patrick W. Wise will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 5:30- 7:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mr. Jones died Thursday, October 25, 2012. Born in Camden, S.C., he was the son of Josephine Haile Jones. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Josephine White Jones; daughters, Demetriss J. Joyner (Aaron) and Andrea Renee Jones; son, Richard Jones, Jr.; grandchildren, Marquis Jenkins, Cameron Jones, Aaron Bryson Joyner II and McKenzie Joyner; brothers, James Washington, David Goodwin, George E. Jones and Jimmie Jones; sisters, Minnie A. Jones, Mary D. Anderson and Ruby M. Lawhorn; aunt, Ruth Baxter and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Lewis Jones Jr. and Charles P. Jones; and sister, Barbara E. King.
