Obituary of Robert Stewart

REMBERT – Funeral service for Robert Stewart, 72, will be held on Wednesday 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The Rev. Freddie Thomas will officiate.

    Mr. Stewart passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019.  Born in Rembert, he was the son of the late Jemmy and Ellen Kendrick Stewart.  He retired from the Philadelphia Transit System.  He was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and sports.

    Surviving are his children, Raynard Scantlebury and Jasmine Taylor; brothers, James Stewart and Rodney Stewart; sisters, Beulah Lawson and Cindy Meyers; and 6 grandchildren.
