Obituary of Joseph V. Ward, Jr.

LUGOFF – Graveside service for Joseph Victor Ward, 81, will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.   The Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

    Mr. Ward passed away at KershawHealth on Sunday, September 15, 2019.  Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Joseph Victor Ward Sr. and Maenell Trapp Ward.  He retired from Fluor Daniel where he was a pipe fitter.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 411, Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union #421 and Woodmen of the World.  He enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Clemson fan.

    Surviving are his daughter, Joanne W. Pondish (Jimmy) of Lugoff; brother, Thomas Andrew Ward (Sylvia); grandchild, James Robert “J.R.” Pondish.  He was predeceased by brother, James Charles “Jimmy” Ward; and granddaughter, Victoria Lynn Pondish.
