Obituary of Thornwell Cecil Truesdale

CASSATT – Funeral service for Thornwell Cecil "Buddy, Zeke" Truesdale, 80, will be held on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The Rev. Ken Jackson and the Rev. Ernest Rabon will officiate.  The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund.

    Mr. Truesdale passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019.  Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Thornwell Lee and Maggie Cecil Peebles Truesdale.  He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the Lugoff Masonic Lodge #411.

    Surviving are his children, Karen Richardson (Kenny) of Elgin, Sharon Pharis (Howard) of Elgin, Donna Ross (Ricky) of Pontiac, Renee Chappell (Tony) of Elgin, Robbie Truesdale of Lugoff and Angie Brown (Julian) of Lugoff; brothers, Eddie Truesdale and Tally Truesdale; sister, Janice Truesdale; grandchildren, Kenneth Richardson, Michael Richardson, Elizabeth Brown, Kayla Ross, R.J. Ross, Erin Chappell, T.J. Chappell, Monica Chappell, Ashley Crawford, Rob Wall, Justin Wall and Samantha Hayes; and great-grandchildren, Tripp Richardson, Mac Richardson, CharleeGrace Richardson, Hiersley Richardson, Baylor Brown, Ember Chappell, Savannah Truesdale, Austin Truesdale, Easton Hayes and Tristan Crawford.  He was predeceased by sister, Betty Dority.
