Obituary of Mary T. Bridges

ELGIN – A funeral service for Mary T. Bridges, 76, will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with a visitation 1hr prior. Pastor Joe Stines will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Greenville.

    Mrs. Bridges passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Born in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary Elizabeth Thomas. Mrs. Bridges was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an amazing woman who was one of a kind.  

    Surviving are her husband, William Randolph Bridges; daughters, Bonnie Bridges (Allen) and Karen Bridges Boone; a brother, Fred Thomas (Sandra); grandchildren, Zach Worley (Emma), Ashleigh Worley (Reed), Erica Smith, Kayla Boone (David) and Kyle Boone (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Kingsleigh Reed Branham and King John Wesley Worley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Joyce Steading, Judy Pressley, and Jack Parker.
