REMBERT- Funeral Services for Thomas Lenwood Miles, 65, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mr. Miles passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Born in Elgin, he was a son of the late Wiley and Mary Nelson Miles. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, and enjoyed taking care of his beloved dog, Teddy. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Sandra Smith Miles; sons, Jere Miles (Claudia) of Long Beach, CA, Tommy Miles (Ashley) of Lugoff; daughters, Karen Breeden (David) of Camden, Melissa Miles (Willie) of Rembert; a sister, Susie Ottinger; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, John Wiley Miles; and Aunts, Juanita Branham, and Lula English.
