Shirley, you are like a sister to missy and myself. There wasn’t a family gathering that you weren’t at. I remember you and granny taking me to McDonald’s and buying me a happy meal ! You were a constant in my life and will be missed ! The day my boys were born you came to see them. And they held a special place in your heart. Austin and Dillon always loves Shirley. We will save you some cake at the birthday parties. It won’t be the same without you. We love you. Save me a seat next to you and granny. Love you Shirley Jean.

My sweet smiling friend! Every time I made it home to Camden you would hug me and treat me like your long lost sister. How I loved those hugs and the heavenly warmth of your spirit! I remember when we were young teens and taught Primary classes during the week; I think you usually would lead the singing; that sure wasn’t me I couldn’t carry a tune!! You were always there ready to go so faithful and such a fine example for us all. I know you will be missed but the joy that you are receiving now from our Heavenly Father will certainly help to comfort your family and all who knew you. Till we meet again, dear friend, I will try to be a better person because of you; in the hope of living worthy enough to be near you once more!
