Dear Robert Earle, Karen, Steve and every precious one of Edith’s grandchildren, I am so incredibly grateful for Aunt Edith’s memories in my heart. She taught me to value my family heritage, but not worship my genealogy. She taught me to be a strong woman when strength in women was thought only as stubbornness and willfulness! She loved me always - unconditionally. It didn’t even matter to her if she always liked me or what I did. She loved me when I was near and when I was far away from her. She didn’t keep check-lists of how often I called or wrote. She was just grateful when I did. And she never failed to quietly trust God and praise him. Her sermons were short, and her scoldings were tough and tender! Then she just left them as they were! I have tons more to appreciate of her character - cause she WAS the BEST CHARACTER ! All my precious Earle relatives were, and for this I am eternally Grateful to God for allowing me to be the child of my daddy, Edith’s brother, Wilton “Stokey” Earle. I’ll try to write more about her in a year or two. I won’t ever forget her as long as God allows me to think ! God BlessYou All!
