Obituary of Dan Thomas

LUGOFF – A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Dan Lindsay Thomas, 82, will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Lake Wateree Baptist Church.

    Mr. Thomas, husband of the late Barbara P. Thomas, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019.  Born in Winnsboro, he was the son of the late William Paul and Mildred Powell Thomas.  He served in the United States Air Force.  He was an electrician and former owner of Longtown Store in Ridgeway.   Mr. Thomas enjoyed woodworking, crafts and leather craft but what he enjoyed most was blessing others with giving them his handmade crafts.

    Surviving are his son, Mike Thomas (Vicki) of Lake Wateree; and sisters, Claudia McLendon (Charles) and June Hedges (David).  He was predeceased by his first wife, Helen Dukes Thomas; and son, Mark Vincent Thomas.
