My sweet father-in-law, Murray, I cannot begin to imagine our life without you and your guidance. You have always been so very kind to me and my girls. We're truly blessed to have had you. I'm so very thankful you had time to spend with our son Joseph before leaving us, you made a huge impact on your little grandson. We love you so very much and my heart will miss you and the sound of your laugh, forever. I do hope you're enjoying the Masters in Heaven. I can only imagine.

I truly am sorry. Thoughts and prayers for the entire family. I did not know Mr. David but I know his brother Johnny (Bear) David. That being said I know I missed knowing a great man. The resurrection Hope is the most soothing thing Jehovah God could ever give. May he be remembered then and never forgotten now

One of the greatest men I’ve ever had the pleasure knowing ... my granddad . He gained his angel wings . This man taught me so much about life. Things unless you had a granddad like mine you wouldn’t begin to understand. He was a strong believer in the good Lord above and his faith was strong. He loved his family very much, especially his beautiful bride (my nanny) . From childhood sweethearts to life long companions, their love was as thick as thieves . For better or worse until death they parted , she stood by his side and took care of him . He was her whole life . They had seven children and a whole whole lot of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grands . So you can say we all come from a long line of love . He and I shared the the same birthday, just a few short years apart of course . I used to joke with all the other grandkids and tell em I was his favorite “for that fact “! Truth is he loved all us just the same . Each and everyone of us held a special place in his heart . He did and would’ve done anything for any of us at any given time . His outlook on life and his ambition to keep going was something else . To simply know him was to love him . May the rest of his days be filled with hunting, golfing and fishing those beautiful lakes in heaven! Until we meet again .. I’ll be seeing you
And P.S. I ❤️ you

I am very blessed to have been given this man as my Daddy for my entire life. I remember all those weekends when he would load us all up in the back of his truck and he and my Momma would spend the day driving us around looking at the prairie in Texas. He find a beautiful spot, stop the truck and say , "Okay, everybody hop out and we would run and explore! We would find tumble weeds, petrified wood, cow skulls and many other things. It was just like the old western movies! We'd have picnics, fish in open ponds and just play all day. My parents did everything with us making the best childhood memories anyone could ever have. The last couple if years we listened to him reliving all the wonderful experiences in his mind as we sat outside by the fire. As sick as he was, he loved making a fire and just sitting around it talking to us about all his memories! I love you Daddy and will always remember everything we did as a family. I was blessed with the best family in this world. Parents I will always be grateful for, three sisters and three brothers, God has always very good to all of us and I'm so thankful for this family He put together! The love we all had will continue and your memory will never die. Now you can walk again, play golf, go fishing and never worry about falling down. Daddy watch over us until we are all together again.

What a wonderful, big-hearted and loving man! I will never forget “Uncle Murney”. For you younger ones, our Jessica could not say “Murray” for the longest, thus he became “Uncle Murney” on this side of the lake!. In fact, he and Aunt Jo An were one of the first two to welcome me into the family (second only to Joy and Denny) some 34 years ago. We spent a day with them - seems it was about this time of year - the old dock was not fixed yet, if that puts a time frame for you. In the afternoon, he fixed up and inspected everything so Bob and I could fish. Brim were bedding and “oooo-oooo, that smell”! You know the one. Anyway, off to the pretty rickety dock we go, with both of them cautioning is to be careful. Well, as Bob headed to a safe place to fish, something popped and down he went into that cold, COLD water!!! Prolly one of the first Polar Plunges ever - only we didn’t know it back then. We all laughed sooo hard - I nearly wet my pants! Needless to say, our fishing expedition quickly turned in to a shivering, bitter cold one (with ZERO fish!), and back up to the house we go, while Murray and Jo An frantically searched for some of Ricky’s clothes for Bob to change into!!! That day with your folks is one of my whole life’s fondest memories. Another was one night we all went to the old Beaver Creek Restaurant Karaoke night. Jo An got up and sang Patsy Cline. It may have been “I Fall to Pieces”. Being a musician, my mouth fell open on her first note (prolly stayed that way the whole song!). Near the end, I hear the sheer delight in Murray’s loud, gruff voice, saying, “Hey! See? I TOLD you she can SANG!”. I love all of you, Family, and our hearts are broken right there beside you. Please reach out if you need anything.

Rest easy Mr. David when you get to that shore! Give my Son a big hug from me and tell him I’ll join y’all soon enough. I’m really going to miss having someone to call on Father’s Day. I have no doubt your Master has proclaimed...”Well done my good and faithful servant.”
